Description

The 2 way XL02 is a dual 160mm (6″) woofer MTM arrangement with a tuned bottom port for a big detailed sound to fill a large room.

The midrange/bass drivers have a hybrid neodymium/ferrite magnet and a large 3″ Hexatech aluminium voice coil for a high power handling capacity. The horn loaded tweeters, again Hexatech voice coil, also have high power handling capabilites.

The extensive crossover networks have low tolerance high quality components and are carefully matched to the drivers to get the absolute best sound possible. The crossover is placed in a separate bottom compartment.

Enclosures are constructed from 25mm MDF with extensive bracing, and internally dampened to reduce cabinet vibrations and standing waves. The tweeters are separately enclosed to reduce driver interaction.

The enclosures are finished in a tough polyurethane gloss finish, available in gloss black or timber veneer with the baffle and bass in a polyurethane textured finish.

The XL02 is suitable for both stereo music and as front speakers in a surround system,. Suitable for amplifiers 20 – 240 watts.
